Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking flexible Primary Teaching Assistant supply roles across multiple primary settings in London and surrounding areas. This position offers day-to-day and short-term opportunities, with the chance to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 while gaining varied classroom experience.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, with a positive, patient approach, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant or within a primary school setting.
• Positive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children.
• Confidence supporting pupils across different ages and abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and reliability when working on supply.
• Proactive and adaptable attitude to classroom support.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to follow guidance and adapt quickly in new school environments.
• Enthusiasm for supporting learning as a Primary Teaching Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily classroom activities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and learning materials.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
• Support transitions, playtimes, and lunchtime supervision when needed.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.
• Represent Class Act professionally while working as a Primary Teaching Assistant.
