Job summary

Academics is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Prenton and across the Wirral. The role offers flexible supply placements for those who are confident, caring and ready to get stuck in.

Salary is £95-£105 per day, with opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Applicants should have Level 2 TA qualification or higher, prior primary school experience, and a passion for supporting children while safeguarding and guiding learning.

Qualifications

• Confident, caring TA with ability to engage pupils.
• Experience supporting learning in primary settings.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and classroom presence.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Work with individuals and small groups.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional needs.
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
• Collaborate with class teachers and support staff.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
