Job summary

Smile Education seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for Telford area with flexible, long-term part-time opportunities. Start ASAP with competitive pay £90-£108 per day? hour? We welcome applicants with primary school experience and a commitment to supporting children's learning.

Role involves supporting lessons across Early Years to Year 6, including small groups, behaviour management, and classroom preparation. DBS update or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• At least one year's experience in a school setting
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
• Positive, patient, and flexible approach with varied abilities
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Early Years to Year 6
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment
• Assisting pupils with varying abilities and learning needs
• Preparing classroom resources and activities to engage pupils
• Collaborating with teachers and school staff to achieve good outcomes
• Supporting social, emotional, and academic development of pupils
• Assisting with playground duties and school activities
