Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Flexible Primary Teacher (KS1/KS2) to join our West Sussex and Surrey network. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS1/KS2, support pupil progress, and work with colleagues to implement the National Curriculum.

The role offers complete scheduling flexibility, with long-term and day-to-day supply opportunities, a vehicle to travel between sites, and weekly pay. QTS and a valid DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK equivalent (ECTs/NQTs welcome)
• Valid UK Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum KS1/KS2
• Excellent classroom management and engaging teaching style
• Enhanced DBS check (Update Service preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum for KS1/KS2
• Inspire curiosity and drive pupil attainment by scaffolding learning
• Foster an inclusive, safe classroom where every child is valued
• Lead Teaching Assistants and SEN staff to deliver targeted interventions
• Utilise behaviour management strategies for a calm, productive environment
• Track pupil development and use data to inform planning
• Maintain partnerships with parents, SENCOs and school leaders
• Travel between West Sussex and Surrey to sites using personal vehicle

• Utilize your personal vehicle to travel reliably to school sites across West Sussex and Surrey.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or recognized UK equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are welcome to apply).
• Valid UK Driver's License and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong working knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum (KS1/KS2).
• Excellent classroom management skills and an engaging teaching style.
• An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
• Preferred:Subject leadership experience or familiarity with primary phonics frameworks (e.g., Read Write Inc., Bug Club, or Letters and Sounds).
