Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher in Frome to cover a variety of local primary schools. You will deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, adapt to school policies and safeguard requirements.

We offer flexible day-to-day, longer-term and ongoing placements with competitive daily rates (£140–£220) and weekly PAYE pay. Join a supportive team with dedicated education consultants and opportunities to build your experience across local schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience working within a primary school environment.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and colleagues.
• Confident adapting to different schools and classroom environments.
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Create a welcoming classroom where pupils feel supported and encouraged.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain strong classroom management.
• Cater to different learning styles and individual pupil needs.
• Follow school policies and maintain high safeguarding standards.
• Work effectively as part of the wider school team.
