Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking confident and experienced Supply Teachers to work across primary schools in Stroud. Roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with the flexibility to match your availability.

As a Supply Teacher you will deliver high-quality lessons, follow existing plans where provided and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development while upholding safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching in a Primary School setting.
• Good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Experience teaching across different primary year groups.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and routines.
• Strong classroom management and high behaviour expectations.
• Flexible, patient and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across primary year groups.
• Follow existing lesson plans where provided and ensure continuity.
• Plan and prepare lessons for longer placements when required.
• Teach core subjects of English, Maths, Science and wider curriculum.
• Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively with high expectations.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and school team.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised learning environment.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
