Job summary

Flourish Education in Cheltenham is seeking experienced Supply Teachers for day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles across multiple primary schools. Roles offer flexible hours to match your availability and preferences, with DBS checks and safeguarding training provided.

Opportunities range from regular work to ad-hoc placements, in welcoming primary environments. Successful applicants will hold QTS, have primary experience, and be adaptable to various year groups.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching in a Primary School setting.
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Experience across different primary year groups.
• Ability to adapt to various classrooms and routines.
• Excellent classroom management and high behavioural expectations.
• Flexible, patient and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across different primary year groups.
• Follow existing plans and ensure continuity of learning.
• Plan and prepare lessons for longer placements when required.
• Teach core subjects—English, Maths, Science—within the primary curriculum.
• Adapt activities to meet diverse pupil needs and abilities.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour and uphold high expectations.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Maintain a safe, organised learning space and follow safeguarding procedures.
