Job summary

Empowering Learning in Derby is seeking passionate Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in the Derby area. You will support class teachers, help run engaging lessons and assist with the academic and emotional development of pupils.

This role offers flexible hours, variety across schools, and ongoing professional development through our consultants. All candidates will undergo enhanced DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school setting or similar.
• Passion for supporting young learners.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and adaptable in a classroom environment.
• CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Assist with managing classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Work with small groups or individuals to provide targeted support.
• Help prepare learning materials and resources for lessons.
• Provide pastoral care to children to support academic and social development.
