Job summary

Angard Recruitment is seeking flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers to join Royal Mail. You will deliver letters and parcels across your community, combining van driving with on-foot delivery as part of your daily route.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and the stamina to walk long distances while carrying mailbags. Shifts vary, with rates published for each shift; the position is temporary with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Driving licence: Full, manual UK licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent physical fitness; ability to walk 20,000 steps daily and carry up to 16 kg.
• Flexible team player able to adapt shifts at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your daily route.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and complete route tasks on foot as needed.
• Securely deliver all items and handle items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• May handle election materials and other restricted items per policy.
