Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council in Oban is seeking a Pupil Support Teacher to join the Inclusion and Equality team. The base school will be in Oban, with duties across the Oban and Lorn area to support children with diverse needs.

The role focuses on targeted interventions, collaboration with school staff and families, and contributing to inclusive education. PVG membership is required and interviews are planned for 30th November 2026.

• Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils needing help with learning, wellbeing, literacy, numeracy, or engagement.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, pastoral staff, families and external agencies to promote inclusive practice.
• Support development of inclusive practice through training, coaching and team teaching where appropriate.
