Qualifications

• Recent UK-based school experience within the last two years.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children in a school environment.
• Reliable, patient and confident working as part of a team.
• Clear communication with pupils and teaching staff.
• Willingness to support different activities depending on placement.
• Provide clear availability and commit to agreed working hours.
• Understanding safeguarding and inclusive education is important.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with classroom learning and daily activities.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Helping pupils access differentiated activities and classroom resources.
• Supporting reading, writing, Maths and other age-appropriate learning.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Assisting pupils with SEND where required by the placement.
• Helping children follow classroom routines and transitions.
• Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation.
• Communicating relevant observations to teachers and other staff.
• Following safeguarding procedures and school policies.
