Job summary

Macmillan Davies is partnering with a Preston-based organisation to recruit an interim Senior HR Advisor for an immediate start. The role is part-time on a rolling one-month contract, up to 30 hours per week, with at least 2 days in the Preston office.

You will provide practical HR advice to line managers, manage employee relations casework, coach managers on people issues, and act as a point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, building strong relationships through phone and remote support.

Qualifications

• HR Advisor/Generalist/HRBP with strong employee relations experience.
• Confident coaching managers and providing pragmatic advice.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Able to work independently with excellent communication.
• Available for immediate start or short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and guidance to line managers.
• Manage and support employee relations casework, including performance, conduct and attendance matters.
• Coach managers on lower-level people issues, helping them resolve matters informally where appropriate.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day HR queries.
• Build strong relationships with managers through predominantly phone and remote-based support.
