Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a part-time Residential Support Worker to help transform lives and support children in care. The role offers flexible shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends, with induction and progression to a Level 3 Diploma over 12 months.

You will facilitate activities, ensure wellbeing and safeguarding, and contribute to daily tasks while building relationships with young people.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; induction provided.
• Two weeks of classroom training plus a week of shadow shifts.
• Support to achieve Level 3 Diploma within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing, safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people needing supervision.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
