Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a part-time Phlebotomy and Cannulation Technician to join the antenatal clinic team in London. The role involves performing venepuncture and cannulation, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of care and documentation.

You will work with healthcare professionals to manage waiting times, support discharge processes, and provide cover for the Supervisor Phlebotomist/Cannulation Technician as needed.

Qualifications

• Competence in venepuncture/cannulation practices.
• Ability to work with the antenatal clinic team.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and cannulation duties in the antenatal clinic.
• Communicate clearly with patients before, during and after procedures.
• Ensure safe specimen collection, labeling and transport to pathology.
• Complete required documentation and respond to urgent requests.
• Work with medical staff to manage waiting times and patient flow.
