Job summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Phlebotomist to join our mobile phlebotomy team. You will perform venepuncture and cannulation, work across wards and clinics, and contribute to improved patient flow and care at The James Cook University Hospital.

The role requires good communication, reliability and willingness to develop skills within a supportive Trust environment. Part-time hours and pro rata salary apply.

Qualifications

• Essential: Customer service experience
• Essential: Awareness and understanding of health and safety protocols
• Essential: Good organisational skills
• Essential: Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
• Desirable: GCSE or equivalent in science subject
• Desirable: Certificate of competence in phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy team is mobile around the organisation under the patient flow team. Deliver venepuncture and cannulation as directed.
• Work across wards and clinics within The James Cook University Hospital.
• Support patient flow and maintain high standards of care and service.
