Job summary

Pertemps DHL at the Sevington IBF site in Ashford is seeking Inspection Operatives for part-time, temporary cover. Roles involve off-loading trailers, presenting for inspection, and reloading, with manual handling and use of MHE. Shifts are 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00, including weekends. Weekly pay with overtime rates.

The position is ideal for students seeking flexible hours and a busy, fast-moving warehouse environment. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

Logistics experience in a large fast-moving environment.
Strong warehouse system experience.
A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
Experience of working to agreed targets.
Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load from trailers to presentation for inspection and reload on to trailers.
Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
Maintain the inspection environment following training
COSHH Awareness following training
Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
Champion a health and safety culture
