Job summary

Suffolk Sight is seeking a part-time Fundraiser to grow and manage income from a variety of fundraising sources. The role focuses on grant fundraising, legacies, corporate, and major donor funding, with ownership of the fundraising strategy and plan.

Regular visits to our Suffolk offices are required, and flexible patterns are possible within a 12-hour-per-week framework. The position is initially for 12 months and offers a hands-on role in a small charity, working closely with senior staff to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the UK funding landscape.
• Experience securing trust, foundation or statutory funding.
• Strong written communication for funding applications and reports.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues.
• Confidence working with budgets and outcome-focused reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and prioritise suitable funding opportunities.
• Develop and submit high-quality applications and expressions of interest.
• Manage a realistic funding pipeline appropriate to part-time hours.
• Work with colleagues to gather project information, budgets and impact data.
• Plan and manage application deadlines to meet agreed income targets.
• Maintain positive relationships with funders.
• Prepare clear, timely funder reports in line with grant conditions.
• Track grant requirements and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate funding records and application histories.
• Contribute to the organisation’s fundraising strategy and planning.
• Share insight on funding trends and opportunities.
• Support learning and impact reflection drawn from funder feedback.
