Contract: Part-time: 12 hours per week(flexible working patterns possible). Initially for a fixed term of 12 months.
Suffolk Sight is a local, community-based sight loss charity, supporting children and adults of all ages. We work hard to provide services that are friendly and practical, and to raise awareness of the different aspects of living with sight loss. Our dedicated team offer support, advice and guidance based on individual sight-loss needs. We recognise that our staff and volunteers are our greatest resource and work collaboratively and creatively to achieve meaningful impact with limited resources. Suffolk Sight is an independent charity and receives practically no funding from the government. We rely on our amazing supporters to help us continue our work through donations, legacies and non-statutory grants. We are committed to flexible working and value openness, trust and inclusion.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated part-time Fundraiser to grow and manage our income from a variety of fundraising sources.
This is a pivotal role for the charity. It is key to the delivery of our sustainability plan and you will take ownership of fundraising, ensuring we have the resources to sustain and grow our impact.
You will lead on grant fundraising whilst also developing areas such as legacies, corporate and major donor fundraising.
This is a hands‑on role in a small organisation, so you will have real ownership and visibility. You will help shape our fundraising strategy and directly influence how many beneficiaries we can reach.
This role is suited to someone who is both strategic and practical — someone who can develop the fundraising strategy and the plan to deliver this, but is equally comfortable writing applications, building relationships and making things happen.
Working closely with senior staff and other colleagues, this role is central to the sustainability of the organisation and ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and flexibly.
This role is not suitable for remote working as regular visits to our offices in Suffolk will be required.
