Randstad Education is recruiting adaptable, passionate Part-Time General Cover Teachers for a high-achieving secondary academy located in the Blackpool area. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the flexibility to work 1 day or 4 days per week, and you will not take any work home at the end of the day.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver pre-set lesson plans across KS3 and KS4.
• Ability to implement positive behaviour management policies.
• Ability to establish a safe, structured classroom environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with staff and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Confidently deliver pre-set, structured lesson plans across various subject areas in KS3 and KS4.
• Set clear expectations and implement the academy's positive behaviour management policies fairly.
• Keep pupils focused and engaged while fostering a safe, structured classroom setting.
• Manage classroom dynamics calmly, using positive encouragement and de-escalation strategies where needed.
• Complete basic daily handover notes and marking for returning department staff.
• Uphold all safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies strictly.
