Job summary

Smiths News is hiring a Books Merchandiser in the Leeds area (Swinnow Rd, Horsforth, Yeadon, Morley and Harehills). The role is flexible, part-time (zero-hour) with an average of 5-20 hours per week and a pay rate of £14.24 per hour (Holiday Pay included). A full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle are required.

Travel time and mileage are payable where eligible. You will ensure in-store displays are visually appealing, stocked, and aligned to client expectations, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Friendly, confident and proactive with a can-do attitude.
• Strong communication and reliability.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment and display: move stock from warehouse to shop floor and present to high standard.
• Planogram compliance: implement layouts and briefs for displays.
• Promotional execution: set up POS displays and price labels.
• Reporting and communication: use device/app to access briefs, upload photos, provide feedback.
