Job summary

Merchandiser role in Harrogate for Smiths News, a leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler. You will ensure in-store book displays are visually appealing, fully stocked and aligned with client expectations. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and strong communication.

The position offers 5–20 hours per week, flexible Monday/Thursday calls, with a driving licence and use of a vehicle required. UK right to work essential.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment and display; move stock from warehouse to shop floor and present products to a high standard.
• Planogram compliance; accurately implement layouts and visual briefs.
• Promotional execution; set up materials, price labels and POS displays to support campaigns.
• Reporting and communication; use a device/app to access briefs, upload photos and provide feedback to client teams.
• Relationship building; work with store managers and colleagues for smooth in-store activity.
