Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Dudley, West Midlands. The role involves supervising classes across the secondary age range, delivering pre-planned work and using strong IT skills to support lesson delivery, while maintaining high behaviour standards.

The position offers temporary long-term placements with flexible day-to-day work available and a PAYE payroll.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school
• Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently
