TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Secondary School in Dudley to recruit an experienced Cover Supervisor for long-term placements with flexible day-to-day work. The role involves supervising classes across the secondary age range, delivering pre-planned work, and using IT to support lesson delivery while keeping students focused.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school.
• Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources.
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently.
