Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking Locum Practice Nurses in Mexborough to provide flexible sessional work across primary care services. Roles include treatment room duties, chronic disease management and preventative health clinics.

You will support multiple primary care teams with routine procedures, long-term condition reviews and general nursing tasks, in a well-structured, supportive environment with clear protocols and workflows.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.
• Able to adapt to different clinical teams and service structures.
• Familiarity with common primary care systems.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within care plans.
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
