Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking qualified Locum Practice Nurses to work flexibly in Middlewich and surrounding areas. The role covers treatment room duties, chronic disease management and preventative health services in primary care settings. Immunisations and cytology experience are beneficial, with DBS clearance preferred.

Sessions can be ad-hoc or ongoing, with weekday, evening or weekend options, allowing nurses to choose work patterns that fit their availability.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience is required.
• Immunisation and cytology training is beneficial.
• Familiarity with primary care systems is advantageous.
• Able to adapt to different clinical teams and service structures.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carrying out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Performing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Recording accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assisting with general nursing duties as required.
