Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Stourbridge. This role suits GPs seeking flexible, well-organised sessions with clear daily clinical structure and strong administrative support.

You will manage a varied caseload, deliver patient assessments, provide continuity where needed, and use EMIS or SystmOne. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions and potential for long-term arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner with current UK licence.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
