Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to fill flexible sessions at a GP practice in Winsford. You will manage a varied caseload, deliver patient assessments, and provide continuity of care within a supportive primary care environment.

Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions available, with full-day or half-day bookings and long-term potential. You will work with robust admin support and established clinical workflows, using EMIS or SystmOne and maintaining appropriate indemnity.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP eligible to practise in the UK.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne.
• Current indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
