Job summary

Locum Ready seeks a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Billericay. The role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with full- or half-day blocks and a clear clinical workflow.

You will manage a varied caseload, perform patient assessments and provide continuity, supported by strong admin workflows and a collaborative team.

Essential: NHS Performers List, UK primary care experience, indemnity and Enhanced DBS. EMIS or SystmOne familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with UK primary care experience.
• NHS Performers List active.
• Indemnity and Enhanced DBS clearance.
• EMIS or SystmOne familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries
• Prescribing safely and appropriately
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks
