Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to support a GP practice in Rugeley. You will run autonomous clinics, perform acute and routine assessments and manage urgent and routine demand within a structured primary care environment.

The role suits clinicians from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds with Level 7 ACP training and Independent Prescribing. You will join an established team, with flexible sessions up to four days a week and strong

Qualifications

Advanced Clinical Practitioner level 7 qualification required.
Backgrounds in Nursing, Paramedic Science or allied health are acceptable.
Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
Recent experience in primary/urgent care settings preferred.
Strong autonomous decision-making and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct acute and same-day access clinics.
Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
Order and interpret investigations.
Prescribe safely within scope where qualified.
Manage follow-up actions, results and referrals.
Document clearly using the practice clinical system.
