Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a GP practice in Rugeley. The role offers flexible, sessional work within a well-organised primary care setting with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes in a structured workflow with clear expectations.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Level 7/postgraduate qualification.
• V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
