Job summary

NCG in Lewisham is seeking a Learning Support Worker to join the Supported Learning Department. You will work with students aged 16 to 25 with learning difficulties, disabilities or autism, assisting with independence, personal care and access to learning.

The role is term-time only (over 40 weeks) at 28 hours per week with a requirement for kitchen experience. Level 2 English and maths, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Level 2 attainment in English and maths.
• Experience with high needs learners in an educational context.
• Kitchen experience is required.
• Ability to work well in a team and build relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to help learners build independence and access learning.
• Support learners to integrate into the college community.
• Work with groups and provide one-to-one support under supervision.
