Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support a variety of Primary Schools across Durham and the surrounding areas. September start, 8:30am – 15:30pm, flexible day-to-day shifts.

As an LSA, you’ll work 1:1 or in small groups, assist teachers with engaging activities, and support children with a range of needs in a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one is required, along with the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people; school experience is desirable but not essential.
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to working in different school environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to build confidence and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging classroom activities.
• Provide tailored support to children with additional needs, including SEND.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
• Gain experience across different schools, year groups and settings.
