Job summary

Milk Education is expanding our team of Learning Support Assistants to support a variety of Primary Schools across Durham and the surrounding areas. Whether you're an experienced TA, a recently qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or have valuable experience working with children through childcare, care, coaching or youth work, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role: September Start, 8:30am - 15:30pm, Flexible/Day-to-Day Shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people; school experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to working in different school environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them build confidence and progress.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and supportive classroom activities.
• Provide tailored support to children with a range of additional needs, including SEND.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
• Experience different schools, year groups and settings while enjoying the freedom to choose when you work.
