Job summary

Academics is recruiting for KS2 Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 2 pupils across Worksop, Nottinghamshire on a temporary basis from September 2026. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term assignments, or longer placements with flexible hours and continuous CPD.

Ideal candidates will have TA qualifications (Level 2/3) and DBS clearance, with strong communication and behaviour management skills. The position offers ongoing support from a dedicated consultant and potential progression

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children within a primary school setting.
• Cache or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and annual safeguarding training.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 2.
• Work with individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve learning goals.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
