Job summary

Academics is recruiting KS2 Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 2 pupils across primary schools in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, starting September 2026. Roles are temporary, with day-to-day supply, short-term and longer-term placements available, offering flexible working to fit your schedule and CPD opportunities.

You will work in a variety of settings, helping pupils achieve learning goals, support behaviour and wellbeing, and follow safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in a primary school.
• Cache or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

• Work with individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve learning goals.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children within a primary school or similar educational setting.
• A relevant Cache or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
• A commitment to safeguarding and completing annual safeguarding training.
• The right to work in the UK.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
