Job summary

Shillito Group in Sheffield is recruiting an Engineering Manager to join an established engineering business designing and manufacturing specialist products for hazardous and demanding environments. This is a true hands on leadership role and you will lead the engineering team, own product development, and engage in detail where needed.

You will work with ATEX/IECEx/UKEX standards, manage certification, collaborate with Sales, Production and Quality, and drive improvements across engineering

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering product development from concept to launch.
• Strong background in hazardous area products and regulatory standards (ATEX/IECEx/UKEX).
• Experience with product certification and maintaining approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team.
• Own product development projects from concept through launch.
• Design and develop new products around customer/market requirements.
• Manage product certification and keep approvals compliant.
• Work with ATEX, IECEx, UKEX or similar approvals.
• Arrange product testing and resolve certification issues.
• Support Sales with complex customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality to ensure manufacturability.
• Produce and approve technical drawings and documentation.
• Drive improvements across engineering processes and development.
