Job summary

NatCen, the UK's leading independent social research organisation, seeks people to visit homes and conduct interviews on topics like health, housing and transport. You will guide conversations using a tablet or laptop to capture real-life experiences across Britain.

This is not a desk job; you will be out in communities, knocking on doors. Some responses are not immediate, but your work helps drive changes that improve lives.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Laptop or tablet with camera.
• Comfortable using basic technology.
• At least 18 hours available per week.
• Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their homes to conduct research interviews.
• Guide conversations and capture real experiences.
• Travel between projects; manage travel as needed.
• Record data using a tablet or laptop.
