Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support schools in Brighton & Hove. The role offers flexible day-to-day and longer-term opportunities across welcoming schools.

HLTA duties include leading lessons, supporting pupils with additional learning needs, managing classrooms, and promoting pupil development while following safeguarding policies. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and be DBS checked.

Qualifications

• Experienced in an HLTA, TA, LSA or similar role.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Confident leading learning activities and managing classrooms.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to use initiative.
• Patient, enthusiastic and committed to pupil development.
• Available for flexible work across Brighton & Hove.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Lead whole-class, small-group and one-to-one activities.
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.
• Take responsibility for learning activities when required.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Help manage positive classroom behaviour and maintain a supportive environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and pupil needs.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
