Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room support across primary care services in Flitwick and surrounding areas. The role focuses on routine clinical tasks within GP clinics, offering hands-on support to nursing and clinical teams.

The successful candidate will perform routine observations, assist with wound care and dressings, undertake ECGs, and help maintain accurate digital records while maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Able to perform routine clinical observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
