Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room support across primary care services in Calne. The role focuses on hands-on clinical tasks within GP clinic environments, assisting nursing and clinical teams.

Responsibilities include routine observations, wound care, ECGs, phlebotomy support (if trained), and maintaining clean, safe clinical spaces. Weekday, evening or weekend sessions are available with ad-hoc or regular work options.

Qualifications

• Recent HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Able to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations (BP, pulse and temperature).
• Support treatment room procedures (wound care, dressings).
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records per service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
