Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional sessions across Snodland. This role offers autonomous nursing in well-supported GP environments, focusing on treatment room procedures and chronic disease reviews.

You will deliver immunisations (if trained), smear tests where trained, NHS Health Checks, and maintain digital notes. Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne is preferred; full flexibility across weekdays, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently in GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
