Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional sessions in Llandrindod Wells. You will deliver treatment room procedures, support chronic disease reviews, and administer immunisations where trained, within well-supported GP environments.

This role offers autonomy with clear protocols to ensure safe patient care, requires an NMC registration and immunisation/cytology training as desirable, and expects strong treatment room competency with the ability to work

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
