Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional primary care clinic sessions across Bakewell. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, giving you autonomy and consistency in daily nursing duties.

You will support clinical teams with essential nursing tasks, chronic disease activity, immunisations if trained, and NHS Health Checks, with clear protocols to ensure safe, coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience and a focus on safe patient care.
• Immunisation training desirable to support vaccination services.
• Confident to work independently within GP settings and follow local protocols.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administering immunisations (if trained) as part of routine care.
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
