Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking General Practitioners for locum placements in Ross On Wye. The role offers flexible, sessional work across multiple primary care services, with autonomy and variety across environments and consistent weekly availability.

You will provide urgent access GP care, routine reviews, telephone consultations and clinical triage, supported by structured workflows and teams to ensure safe, efficient practice.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP required.
• NHS Performers List inclusion required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Managing urgent and routine GP clinics across primary care settings.
• Conducting telephone consultations and triage.
• Assessing acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing within scope and handling medication queries.
• Reviewing results, referrals and follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes in service-specific systems.
• Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
