Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Salaried GP to join the expanding primary care team. You will perform general practice duties, including patient consultations, home visits, triage, and prescription management, while contributing to health needs audits and care planning.

The role supports flexible working arrangements; a substantial breadth of clinical responsibilities is expected across the extended primary care team.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
• Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
• General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
• On/eligible to be on a medical performers list.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• UK driving licence.
• Current CPR certificate.
• UK work permit (if required).
• Desirable: Evidence of continued professional development.
• Desirable: GP specialist training completed within last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients in the surgery and during home visits or via telephone or on-line mechanisms.
• Undertakes triage calls and triage visits; manage repeat prescriptions.
• Develop care plans for health with patients; provide counselling and health education.
• Record clear and contemporaneous notes; adhere to governance and policies.
• Support wider primary healthcare team with health needs data collection and audits.
