Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics across Ullapool. The role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general support within GP environments.

You will contribute to safe, efficient patient care by performing observations, assisting with clinical tasks and helping run the clinic day-to-day, with flexible shifts including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
