Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in New Galloway. This role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support.

You will perform observations, assist with treatment room tasks, and help maintain smooth patient flow across GP settings. A DBS check is preferred and flexibility to cover weekdays, evenings or weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams
• Helping maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
