Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional GP clinics around Greenock. You will carry out routine clinical observations, assist with treatment rooms and ECGs, and help ensure smooth daily operations within busy GP clinics.

Flexible shifts with weekday, evening or weekend options; suitable for short-term and ongoing work. DBS required; experience in GP/NHS settings is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
