Job summary

Randstad Education in Bristol is seeking a General Cover Teacher to support secondary schools across the area. You will teach across various subjects and year groups with complete day-to-day scheduling control and no after-hours work.

QTS or equivalent is required, with strong classroom management and reliability. DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one is expected, along with the right to work in the UK. Flexible assignments offered across local schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Strong classroom management skills with an adaptable, positive, and professional approach.
• High reliability and punctual attendance for an 8:30 AM start.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).
• Documented right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects in Secondary Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
• Follow school policies and robust safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Leave detailed handovers and notes for returning subject teachers to ensure continuity.
