Job summary

Dals is seeking freelance interpreters who speak Urdu, Farsi (Persian), Albanian, Arabic, Kurdish/Kurdish Sorani, Romanian, Somali and other community languages to support public services across Greater Manchester. You will interpret and facilitate communication in healthcare, education, legal, housing and social care settings, using your language skills alongside English.

This freelance role offers complete flexibility and the ability to choose assignments and travel within the area.

Qualifications

• Speak English and at least one other language fluently.
• Ability to interpret across healthcare, education, legal, housing and social care settings.
• Reliable, professional and culturally aware with right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Interpret conversations between English speakers and speakers of your language(s).
• Support appointments in healthcare, education, legal, housing and social care settings.
• Help people access essential services and information.
• Facilitate clear, accurate and confidential communication.
• Manage assignments and availability through the interpreter platform.
